Charan Springs Farm is 124 acres of rugged terrain forged into a picturesque, San Luis Obispo County Certified Organic Farm. We have an avocado orchard, mostly Hass, plus 27 different types of delicious organic produce grown throughout the year. Our unique location between the damp coastal fog and the searing inland heat graces us with one of the longest growing seasons in North America. Charan Springs Farm is renowned for our salad mix, avocados, and vegetables which are available at the Cambria farmers' markets, local grocery stores, restaurants, and by mail-order.
The rolling hills of Cambria, California, offer one of the finest Mediterranean climates in North America. Though we are situated north of the 32nd parallel, in this diverse agricultural community we are able to produce avocados, grapes and a variety of fruits and vegetables all year. This includes, but is not limited to tomatoes, squash, peppers, eggplant, radish, lettuce, beets, carrots, beans, broccoli, peas, brussel sprouts, potatoes, spinach, cilantro, garlic, kohlrabi, cauliflower, artichokes, strawberries, asparagus, parsley, swiss chard, cucumber, cabbage, kale and celery.
Visit us at the Cambria farmer's market all year on Fridays at 2:30 located at the Vet's Hall!

FARM HISTORY
Charan Springs Farm was founded by Michael Limacher in July 1976. Nestled in the craggy hills five miles from the Pacific Ocean in Cambria, California, the future farm was an abandoned, industrial site virtually devoid of vegetation.
For the next 30 years, Michael allowed most of the terrain to return to its natural state, especially around the creeks. He has been able to construct buildings and roads, and the rich organic soil has yielded bountiful crops. The result -- a vibrant, thriving organic farm!
